Sample some Head

Me, I love receiving head. It feels damn good… Well, at least I’d imagine it does, I wouldn’t know being an ‘internet geek’ and all.

A free sample of ex Korn guitarist, Head’s new single, on the other hand? No thanks. If you have no care for your ears however, you can check it out over at Amazon. Be warned though, it probably sucks.

The new single, ‘Paralyzed’, will officially be released October 4th. Mark it in your diaries, to remind you not to listen to it.

Ex Korn guitarist likes the word ‘struggle’

As a regular reader of Dose of Metal, you’ll probably have noticed that my appearance on the site has been lacking somewhat in the last couple of weeks. You see, I’ve been going through some life struggles. You know, the usual struggles; like should I get up or stay in bed for another hour? Should I have left over pizza for breakfast, or would cereal be healthier? Should I masturbate again or is once enough for one day? And so on.

Brian ‘Head’ Welch, formally of Korn, has also been having some struggles of his own. Unlike my problems though, I doubt anyone really gives a shit about Head’s struggles. If you do care, you can find a new post by Head over at Blabbermouth. Like Brian Welchy Welch, though, I would have to question your sanity.

Head has also revealed that a new EP is on the way next year, and that the first single, ‘Paralyzed’, will be out October 4th. Lucky us, huh?

The other Korn members aren’t Stillwell fans

Fieldy gave an insightful interview about his relationship with former Korn guitarist Head and about the other members of Korn’s opinion on his side project. I use ‘insightful’ loosely, because who cares, right? But still, maybe you have weird tastes in music and actually give a damn, so here you go:

It seems I’ll get in touch with [Brian ‘Head’ Welch] about once a year or so. I’m probably about due to call him and say what’s up. But he’s out touring with his band. To tell you the truth, I don’t even know what happened with him leaving Korn. I know some goofy words were said back and forth, but I bet you nobody in Korn could even tell you for sure. I think it’d be cool if he came back and rocked with us. I’d be down. But there’s three other dudes in the band, so I don’t know.

Is he saying what I think he’s saying? Could Head eventually come back in Korn? Is Korn gonna mix Christian Metal with their delightful mix of rock, rap and whatever else they include in their amazing sound? Wow!!! Sounds AWESOME!

They actually watch us almost every night, but they don’t seem very animated about things, for some reason. They’re not coming up to me, like, “Dude, that is sooo dope!” But I’ll see Jonathan watching us from the side of the stage from time to time. I saw Munky  watching us from the soundboard the other night.

Can you really blame Jonathan and Munky for not going “That is sooo dope!” about Stillwell? No one can lie with such conviction.

Head will rejoin Korn

…if he wants to start making some money again. I’m sorry, did I mislead you there?

Brian ‘Head’ Welch, formerly of Korn, has apparently filed for bankruptcy, according to Kornspace.com. The problems don’t stop there either, he’s also in the middle of a legal dispute with his own record label, with him in addition being under a legal contract to provide at least two more solo albums.

So may that be a lesson to you, kids: Don’t ever leave popular projects, or “find” Christ. He’ll It’ll only screw you over. Or maybe this is just karma for inflicting Nu Metal onto the world, who knows?

What, you thought last Friday’s Top 10 was the only one? Ha, you wish! Just like a proper soap, we’re popping out endless sequels. Well, maybe not endless, because I plan to wrap it up with this one, but who knows when this topic will come back from the dead.

Make the jump and read ten more never-ending and/or soapy and/or embarrassing stories from the world of metal.
