Phil Anselmo to appear at Dimebash?

As we reported earlier this week and last week, Dimebash 2010 is going to be held tomorrow in West Hollywood, Carlifornia and it’s going to be filmed for a future DVD release aswell.

Slayer’s Kerry King, who will appear at Dimebash revealed that Phil Anselmo, former Pantera singer and Dimebag bandmate, is going to appear aswell. King said:

Rita’s [Haney, Dimebag’s longtime girlfriend] busting my balls to do it, and I told her I would if she got me a real singer,” Kerry said. “‘Cause you never know who’s gonna show up. So she goes, ‘Phil Anselmo [Pantera, Down], Chuck Billy [Testament], Robb Flynn [Machine Head]… Are those good enough?’ And I’m, like, ‘Fuck, I’ll do it with any one of those guys.’ But I’m gonna see her tonight. I haven’t committed, but I guess she committed me. [Laughs] Oh, Dave’s [Lombardo, Slayer drummer] doing it, for sure. But I’m pretty sure I’ll do it.”

“Fascinating” news today. Apparently the legendary Black Sabbath frontman, Ozzy Osbourne, well known for his fantastic health of course, has helped name a new £484 million hospital in his hometown, Birmingham (England). What has it been called? The Midlands Metropolitan Hospital.

Wow, what’s next? Munky from Korn naming a music shop?

Kid Rock isn't an American Idol fan

Redneck rocker Kid Rock recently trashed Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler for his decision to be part of American Idol’s new season. Rock said the following in an interview with The Pulse of Radio:

“I think it’s the stupidest thing he’s ever done in his life. He’s a sacred American institution of rock ‘n’ roll, and he just threw it all out the window. Just stomped on it and set it on fire.”

Rock added, “I think whoever’s advising him, we should bring back the guillotine, or whatever they call that thing. And if it was himself, he needs some serious counseling. I love him to death, but I gotta speak the truth.”

I’d agree with him if I gave just the tiniest bit of a crap about American Idol, Steven Tyler, Aerosmith or Kid Rock himself but I just don’t.

APC describe themselves live

A Perfect Circle performed on Kimmel last night a song with a very honest title. My hat’s off to you guys for being honest about yourselves. Then they also ruined a classic.

A Perfect Circle performed on last night’s (Wednesday, October 27) edition of ABC-TV‘s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”. The band played the song “Weak And Powerless” as well as a cover version of John Lennon‘s “Imagine”.
