Getcha wax pull

dime

If you ever asked yourself where you could see a wax figure of Dimebag, you’re in luck. Apparently someone made on and it’s on display at this museum in Niagara Falls.

I never really understood the point of wax statues, to be honest with you. They almost never look like the real version, they always have something off, and they’re fucking creepy. That’s not to say I wouldn’t like to see this one if I lived near that museum, but I know people who go to wax museums and took shitloads of photos with their ‘favorite celebrities.’ Why?

You might as well Photoshop yourself next to a celebrity if you want a photo with him/her that badly, it’s the same thing.

Tell you what, $10 says this wax figure plays guitar better than anyone in nu-metal.

The Philip/Vinnie/Rita soap opera gets renewed

Look, it sucks that Dimebag got killed, it really does. But the blaming game going on between Vinnie and Phil is getting pretty old. I’ve never met Dime, but I’m pretty sure he would not like to see this sad show.

Another Dimebash went by, and instead of the remaining members of Pantera to be there and honor Dime the way he should be honored, they’re still ‘not talking to each other.’

Props to Rita and Phil for trying to fix this… Vinnie should quit being so stubborn, Dime deserves fucking better.

Everybody still has resentment towards each other about things in the past. It’s easy to direct your anger at the wrong people. Philip didn’t murder Darrell and [he] would never have wanted that. […] Yeah, I resent Philip for becoming a jackass and a drug addict, and I’m a little sketchy about trusting him all the way yet. But some of the things he’s emailed and some of the thing he’s said — that’s the Philip I know, the ‘stronger than all.’ There’s always room in my heart for him — I love him.

Way to go, Rita. Vinnie tried making Phil look like the bad guy, but all he’s doing right now is making himself the villain in all of this. Just fucking forget whatever happened in the past and make Dimebash 2012 the celebration it should have been — with a Pantera reunion.

What happened at Dimebash 2011

Artisan News posted a video about what happened at this year’s Dimebash… They can tell the story way better than I can, plus, they filmed the whole thing. So why don’t I just stop typing and let you watch the video?

Or maybe I should just keep talking… Well, I went home the other day and found my water running… I panicked for a second, then I realized the stench of my awesome shit was gone, so I figured the water must have magically erased it somehow.

So I keep the water running all the time now, especially after I take an awesome burrito-driven shit in the morning… I recommend this thing, it’s way better than lighting a match…

For more information on my toilet habits, keep watching this space.

Geezer Butler joins Dimebash 2012

Dimebag Darrell was one of the most exciting and talented metal guitarists of all time. It’s sad that we lost him in that terrible tragedy in 2004, because I think he had much more metal badassery to offer us, and instead of kicking ass on stage (maybe in a Pantera reunion), all we can do now is remember the good ol’ days when this guy was alive and showing those dubstep/nu-metal pussies how it’s done.

But I digress. Dimebash 2012 is happening, and a lot of great names are taking part. Let’s be honest, a few not-so-great names are in there, also, but Dime liked everybody, so in the spirit of Dime-goodness, I’m gonna let Serj slide.

Anyway, Geezer Butler will also be there, alongside people like Scott Ian, Tom Morello, Phil Demmel, Duff McKagan, Jerry Cantrell, Tim “Ripper” Owens, and others… Sounds pretty awesome.

Metal guitar legend “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott’s influence on the music community can never be fully estimated, but if the collection of artists and players at this year’s DimeBash 2011 is any indication, his legacy is as far-reaching and deeper than ever before. On December 14th, the world of hard rock and metal come together in a communion of thunderous songs and stories to tip its collective glass to one of the true masters of not only guitar, but music as a whole.

Show begins at 8 PM tonight, if you’re lucky enough to go there, make sure you honor Dime by drinking and enjoying metal. Getcha’ pull!

R.I.P. Dimebag Darrell

On this day, seven years ago, one of the greatest guitarists of our time was cruelly taken away from his fans, friends and family after a man whose name I shall not repeat chose to take away his life in a horrific murder that shocked the metal community.

May Dimebag Darrell rest in peace and may we all celebrate his life and music for years to come. Why not join me in listening to one of Pantera‘s greatest songs below and raising a glass to Mr Dimebag Darrell?
