Sully Erna isn't a Kid Rock but an American Idol fan

To get you started; Kid Rock isn’t an American Idol fan, Steven Tyler isn’t a Kid Rock fan and Godsmack’s Sully Erna isn’t a Kid Rock fan but an American Idol fan.

What is this, Battle of the has-beens? If it is, I don’t think Erna qualifies for it because to become a has-been you have to have had a career of some sort. Bummer.

Anyhow, in response to Kid Rock’s comments, Erna said the following;

Kid Rock needs to shut up. That’s not true. This is gonna be great for TV, man. It’s supposedly the right thing to do to is to rag on a show like that ’cause it’s so popular, and everybody that has a problem most of the time, they have a problem with something that’s really popular — it’s the envy/jealousy thing; I don’t know what it is. I’m not saying that’s what it is with Kid Rock, because I get along with him fine. But I have to disagree. I think it’s brilliant that Steven Tyler is gonna be one of the judges; I think it’s gonna be so good.”

And when asked what he thought about Tyler’s decision to be part of American Idol, he said:

“I think it’s brilliant. Beyond good. I think he’s gonna be the male Paula Abdul, ’cause he’s a little bit dingy, you know what I mean?! He’s probably all pilled up, and he’s gonna be funny. I mean, he’s witty, he’s really witty.”

Most interesting story of 2010… not. I wonder what Kid Rock has to say about it. Really, I do… not.

Steven Tyler isn't a Kid Rock fan

A couple of days ago Kid Rock called Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler out for his decision to be part of American Idol. Now, at a press conference Tyler said the following, after being asked what he thought of Rock’s comments;

“He’s just jealous, he’s just jealous. And he’s working his new record, so God bless him.”

Video after the jump.

Interesting, eh? What’s more interesting to me is that Tyler, in the above picture, looks like the result of someone crossing an ape and a leather couch.

Kid Rock ain't no nobody

Kid Rock

Kid Rock will be recognized, yo!

Kid Rock will be recognized at the end of the first quarter of Friday’s home opener [Pistons] against Oklahoma City, commemorating his 21 sold-out concerts at the Palace and DTE Energy Music Theatre. The team will unveil his updated arena banner, which has hung from the rafters since January 2009.

The game also will include the debut of a “Born Free” music video integrating Kid’s song with concert clips and Pistons highlights.

To find out what the average attendee of a sold out Kid Rock concert sounds like, read the comments on his blog entry.

Kid Rock isn't an American Idol fan

Redneck rocker Kid Rock recently trashed Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler for his decision to be part of American Idol’s new season. Rock said the following in an interview with The Pulse of Radio:

“I think it’s the stupidest thing he’s ever done in his life. He’s a sacred American institution of rock ‘n’ roll, and he just threw it all out the window. Just stomped on it and set it on fire.”

Rock added, “I think whoever’s advising him, we should bring back the guillotine, or whatever they call that thing. And if it was himself, he needs some serious counseling. I love him to death, but I gotta speak the truth.”

I’d agree with him if I gave just the tiniest bit of a crap about American Idol, Steven Tyler, Aerosmith or Kid Rock himself but I just don’t.

Where's Waldo?

Kid Rock

Replace Where with “How many” and replace Waldo with “revolvers does Kid Rock have on his album cover”? Tough one, you’ll see.

I already nominate Born Free (more like born of two close family members), along with Rob Halford‘s new solo album cover, as the cheesiest of the year. You be the judge, but take notice that at least Rob’s album doesn’t have Kid Rock on it. Which is a huge plus considering what you’re about to witness after you make the jump.
