Hear the new Anthrax song

It’s been long enough, but finally a brand new fucking Anthrax song is available for your listening pleasure. And that can only mean the new album isn’t far off. Well September 13th kind of “not far off” which actually is fairly far off, but not in terms of Anthrax albums.

You can listen to the new Anthrax song ‘Fight ‘Em ‘Til You Can’t’ by going to the band’s website here and entering your email address to be sent a download link. That’s right, no shitty YouTube streams, you get the real deal with Anthrax.

But if you like shitty YouTube streams, see below.

Did I download it? Of course I did. The song kicks major ass, and Belladonna’s vocals are sounding awesome. Make sure you check out the song for yourselves.

Anthrax drummer down with technology

Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante is no stranger to technology. Maybe just HD technology. Cause he launched his own motherfucking YouTube channel, yo. And you can see a lot of videos of him (like the one above).

The only problem is that all videos are 360p and look like they’re from the early days of YouTube. A bit of HD content can’t hurt, you know? Hopefully he’ll do that soon.

Anyway, check it out if you have the chance.

Weak Recap: First Class

Hey, guess who’s back, it’s those regular superheroes of the Metal community, Mark and Guido. Once again, we’ll be recapping what we’ve been up to this past week (usually a combination of sleeping, eating and masturbation – we all lead interesting lives here at Dose of Metal).

So, basically it’s that time of the week when someone massages my ego, I then in turn massage their ego, then they massage my… You know what, doesn’t matter. Make the jump to see my awesome interview with the awesome Guido.

New Anthrax album in September (?)

I would still give my left arm to hear the original version of Worship Music, with Dan Nelson on vocals, but Anthrax are moving forward and Worship Music, with Joey Belladonna on vocals, has a release date.

Yes, you read that right. It finally has a release date. When? According to Blabbermouth, who got that news from Rockline Radio, it’s set to be released on September 13 (in the US. One day earlier in Europe).

On the Rockline website, in the Calendar, you can find the following date:

9.12.11
Anthrax
National Radio Premiere: “Worship Music

So, that’s finally some good news about ‘Thrax. Let’s hope they’ll stay true to that date and not postpone it again.

Anthrax reviewed their upcoming album already

The reviews are in for Anthrax‘s upcoming studio effort, Worship Music. And wouldn’t you know it, they’re written by two band members. Don’t worry, it’s not like they’re biased or anything.

Here they are:

“With Joey singing them, they sound like classic Anthrax. The hair on my arms stood up when he started singing them. It was Anthrax once again”

– Charlie Benante

“The songs like sound like metal. They sound like Anthrax circa 1987 through a 2011 filter.”

– Scott Ian

“There is a lot of aggression, emotion and power. I feel like this is once again back to our New York style and attitude.”

– Charlie Benante

So I’m guessing both of them agree that the new album kicks ass. It’s safe to say these impartial reviewers gave the album 5 stars out of 5.
