Everyone likes AC/DC, even sharks

Hot off the heels of our awesome Top 10 best AC/DC songs list, an Australian tour operator has discovered that even sharks like AC/DC. Well that’s the only logical conclusion we can come to, since the man has said the music of AC/DC attracts great white sharks to his boat (so that his customers can see them). Why else would the music attract them, if it’s not their love for AC/DC? Hmm…

So there you have it, everyone likes AC/DC, even none humans. Read more over at Blabbermouth.

AC/DC exhibition to take place in Scotland

According to Blabbermouth and TheCourier.co.uk, an exhibition featuring rare AC/DC memorabilia will take place in Kirriemuir, Scotland on July 9th.

I’ve got to be honest, I have no fucking idea where Kirriemuir is, let alone how to pronounce it, but it happens to be the original hometown of the legendary late Bon Scott, before he moved to Australia when he was six. The exhibition is taking place on what would have been the late singer’s 65th birthday.

The exhibition will take place at the Gateway to the Glens Museum, so make sure you make your way there come July the 9th, if you fancy seeing some rare AC/DC memorabilia including one of Bon Scott‘s jackets which has never been publicly shown before.

Friday Top 10: Best AC/DC songs

AC/DC… One of the biggest bands on Earth and probably one of the best. Their simple riffs and simple drum beats magically worked together to create some of the most amazing songs in existence. There is really nothing else to say about them except that they’re legends, they’re brilliant, and they are better than your favorite band.

When it comes to selecting their top ten songs, it’s not easy. Surely everyone will love the entries in this top, but when it comes to the order, I’m sure there are many different opinions.

So make the jump if you want to read my take on what their best songs are. You have the right to disagree, of course, but that won’t make you right. By making the jump you accept my amazing opinion as being pure fact.

Brian Johnson will sign his own book

Brian Johnson, lead singer of the small indie band AC/DC, has his own 224-page book called Rockers and Rollers: A Full Throttle Memoir.

First of all, 224 pages? What the… I haven’t read 200 pages in total since I learned how to read, how is he expecting me to read 224 in a single one? Jesus.

Anyway, he’s embarking on a book signing tour and if you attend, he will sign your book too, as long as it’s his book. I assume he won’t sign your copy of Dave Mustaine’s memoir or anything, which is a shame.

When I said tour, I really meant three bookstore appearances in New York and New Jersey. Make the jump for full details and the cover.

Weak Recap: Yes we can, bitch!

A few months ago, I had a dream. A dream that we could recap our weeks on Sunday without falling in the blog cliche of just making a list of some of our articles. And my creativity and my egomania had sex and came up with the offspring that is The Weak Recap.

Basically we recap the week by interviewing each other. It feeds our egos and it’s letting you know how awesome we’ve been the week before.

So now it’s my turn to interview NFL legend, influential guitarist and all-around amazing metal bloger, Simo. After the jump.
