Dave is gonna be busy this summer
After news broke that The Big Four would only do one U.S. show, many gullible hopeful fans were expecting more dates to be added. Well, maybe this news will make them reconsider, as Dave and co. will be busy this summer with their own tour.
“Disturbed and Godsmack are rumored to be topping the bill on this summer’s Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival tour, which is expected to kick off sometime in July. Also scheduled to appear are Megadeth, Machine Head, In Flames, Suicide Silence and Unearth, among others.“ writes Blabbermouth. Full details tomorrow, January 26th.

Tough luck, guys. Seems like Megadeth is busy touring with Disturbed and Godsmack… Who cares about Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax, right? Maybe you get lucky and Sully Erna performs some of his amazing solo stuff, too. Fingers crossed!
Only one American Big Four show?
Ever since “The Big Four tour” rumors hit last year, American fans were expecting an American leg. It didn’t happen in 2010, but after great DVD sales, the rumors started flying around that it will happen. Finally, yesterda, an announcement was made. American fans went crazy.
Unfortunately the announcement today is that there will be only one U.S. show… In Indio, California. On April 23rd. The news post on Metallica.com clearly states it’s the only one for this year:
“It’s true — this is indeed the only scheduled stop in America this go around, so we’re hoping that you can head West to join us”

Now, of course, they could do more dates next year. It’s way too big of a cash cow to just ignore the American demand. But that statement says it all, plus the poster clearly says “first and only time in the U.S.” so if you don’t live in (or close to) California and you can’t make it, you’ll have to wait.
Anyways, it’s called The Big Four Festival and tickets go on sale this Friday (Jan 28th) on Ticketmaster. They have an official site which you can access here. They also have the Facebook page we told you about. The poster is after the jump.
New Music Videos by Ozzy and Death Angel
Who loves music videos? Raise your hands. I don’t see no raised hands. Maybe because I’m sitting all alone in front of my computer and I don’t see a point in lifting my hand when no one’s around to see it. I should have asked that question when people are actually around. Plan B: “Don’t ask questions, just state your own opinion and don’t give a damn about what anybody else thinks.” I don’t like music videos, they bore me to death. If I want to listen to music, I’ll just turn on music. I don’t need YouTube for that.
But anyhow, for those who actually care for music videos, I got two brand new videos for you. Ozzy Osbourne released a music video for ‘Let it Die’. ‘Let it Die’ eh? That’s what your fans said. Also, Death Angel released a video for ‘River of Rapture’. Watch both videos after the jump, or do as I do and well, don’t.
Frank Sinatra is metal
When you’re listening to Frank Sinatra, have you ever wondered what his songs would sound like if they were metalized? And I’m not talking about the Death Metal parody Ten Masked Men did a few years ago, I’m talking about serious Heavy fucking Metal. Well, fear not! Because there’s a tribute album in the works.
Devin Townsend, Joey Belladonna, Tim “Ripper” Owens and Dee Snider, among others, each recorded a Frank Sinatra song to make it metal and all of this will be released as an album on March 29, called ‘SIN-atra’. Check out the tracklist after the jump.
Lemmy isn’t racist
As you may know, Lemmy has a documentary out called “Lemmy: 49% Motherfucker, 51% Son of A Bitch.” But apparently the scenes showing his Nazi paraphernalia from World War II made people wondering if there isn’t room for more adjectives in his film’s title. Lemmy says no.
“Let’s face it, it isn’t skinheads and shit collecting this stuff. It’s too expensive. This is doctors and lawyers collecting it… And I didn’t collect any of the ideology, believe me. I’ve got friends of all colors and religious persuasions. I ain’t got a racist bone in my body.“

I don’t think owning things from the second World War makes you a racist. But I don’t understand one thing… Why do this? If it offends so many people, why collect this shit? It’s like white people and the n-word. I do think it’s a bit idiotic to ban a whole word, but if a certain group of people gets seriously offended by it, why use it in the first place?
Seems like it’s more about the thrill of doing something immoral. It’s like my collection of mature porn. It’s more about the thrill of seeing grandmas sucking young kids off than about how they look per se.
