Max Cavalera wants Ozzy and Jaymz

Max Cavalera wants Ozzy Osbourne and James Hetfield… Not in that way (I hope), he wants to work with them.

Ozzy is, of course, the Godfather of metal and Black Sabbath and his solo career. I’ve played with him many times and I know him personally, but I’ve never got to actually ask him to record anything yet. But I think at one point the chance will definitely come. I would also like to do something with James Hetfield because I love old Metallica and I’ve always been a big fan of the thrash that Metallica brought and I like James’ vocals. I thought a thrash song with me and James singing would have been really cool, too.

Read full interview here.

A thrash song with James? Haha, what’s next? Death Metal with Miley Cyrus?

But seriously, I can see why one would want to work with two of the most legendary metal frontmen of all time, but this isn’t the 80s… If you want to work with these two, you’d have to have a National Geographic show about hunting or a reality show… Just sayin’.

Weak Recap: Second to none

Dose of Metal, the superhero of all metal blogs. We’re like Batman without the homosexual innuendos. Kicking ass, second to none. As you can see, we’re full of ourselves. It isn’t easy playing it down when you’re so awesome though. We’re super-awesome.

Moving on, we’re so full of ourselves that we’re taking turns interviewing each other because that’s what the world needs. The hero the metal world deserves.

Want to know what happened in the metal world this past week? Make the jump to read an interview between me and the mighty Alex about recent metal happenings.

Listen to the new Cavalera Conspiracy album

One question: When the hell did both Cavaleras get so fat? Seriously, it looks like Max had seven dinners (Get it? Because he’s wearing a shirt of Possessed’s ‘Seven Churches’! Oh… AHAHAHAHA I’m so funny).

Moving on. You can now stream the new Cavalera Conspiracy album ‘Blunt Force Trauma’ on the German Roadrunner Records site here. Listen to it or don’t. What do I care? I’m listening to the special edition of Amon Amarth’s ‘Surtur Rising,’ which I got earlier today. I haven’t listened to the new Cavalera Conspiracy but it can’t be as good as the new Amon Amarth. It just can’t be.

Are you ready for the new shit?

Cavalera Conspiracy

Did I just quote Marilyn Manson in the post title? Let me redeem myself from the fact that I know that with some metal.

Cavalera Conspiracy have posted a 30 second teaser of a new song. A teaser for a song, come on. But they’ve promised a free download next week, so it’s okay.

We’ve already written about DevilDriver posting new stuff, refresh your memory here.

Protest The Hero have posted their first single from the upcoming album online, called “C’est La Vie” online. C’est La opportunity and listen to it.

And finally, Darkest Hour have also figured out how to use the internet.
