Grammy nominees announced

Yesterday during the “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown To Music Biggest Night” this year’s Grammy nominees were announced.

We all know that the Grammy’s are the be all, end all of all metal award shows, so you should definitely check out the nominees for Best Hard Rock Performance and Best Metal Performance after the jump (or, if you’re smarter than I think you are, you can just read the huge list of tags beneath this post).

With past winners such as Korn, Deftones, Rage against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden, you just got to admit that the Grammy’s won lots of credibility for their Best Metal Performance category. Yeah right, what a load of shit. Make the jump anyhow because this year at least 4 of the 5 nominees are in fact metal.

No Santa Weiland this year

Scott Weiland

Jingle balls Scott Weiland fans, his planned Christmas album won’t be done in time this year, because Scott is a bit too busy drinking working with Stone Temple Pilots. So if you feel like rocking out to a traditional Christmas album by an untraditional singer, mark December 2011 as the time to check out the bargain bin at your local Wal-Mart. More info after the jump.

A day of interviews

Debauchery

Today was a busy day. Seems that musicians talk way too much… Here’s a quick recap on who had what to say.

First and foremost, our very own Guido did an interview with Thomas Gurrath of Debauchery and Big Ball, and it’s the sweetest thing you’ll read all day. I’m posting the other interviews just so I could make this a “recap” and not “look, we’re awesome” post. Read on to check out a bunch of other ones.

Stone Temple Pilots do fans a favor

According to El Paso Times, the Stone Temple Pilots concert scheduled for tonight (Tuesday, September 21) at the El Paso County Coliseum in El Paso, Texas has been “postponed.

It is thought that the reason behind the postponement is Scott Weiland sparing his fans of another God-awful gig. See? Some rockstars care about their fans.
