Dave kicked Chris Poland in the face. In a limo!

Dave may look all nice and friendly in that photo above, but apparently he kicked (former Megadeth guitarist) Chris Poland in the face.

One night we had gone out and had two limousines at the record release party. One was for us and one was for our girlfriends and wives. We came out of the party and we were all obviously going to score [drugs]. I was grumbling and said something about Chris’ girlfriend, and he jumped across the limo to try and do something with me, and I kicked him in the face.

Read full interview here.

In a limo! This sounds like the plot to an American Pie film, or at least a similarly atrocious National Lampoon shitfest.

Anyway, next time you’re sitting at home wondering why Megadeth changed their lineup a million times, consider being in the band and the lead singer trying to score a field goal with your head. Would you stay?

I keed, I keed, I’m sure there’s more to these stories than just random drug fights. Cocaine’s a helluva drug… Huh huh huh.

Megadeth debut new song live

Love festivals, but just can’t quite make it off your ass to actually go to one? Luckily for you, there are people who pay $250 and up, to stand and watch the festival through their mobile phones and compact cameras, and then post the mediocre footage to Youtube.

Snide remarks aside, the above footage isn’t actually that bad though, and you get to hear the live debut of a brand new Megadeth song, taken from their forthcoming album Th1rt3en. The new song is called ‘Public Enemy No 1’

In other news, Staind called and they want their album name back. As does 1999 and the whole Nu Metal genre.

Big Four jam pro-shot footage

Professionally filmed video footage of the July 2 “Big Four” jam at Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany can be viewed above.

Towards the end of Metallica‘s set, Members of Anthrax and Megadeth joined Metallica on stage for a cover of Diamond Head‘s ‘Helpless’. Slayer weren’t available to take part because Dave was having another tattoo, Kerry was having a wank the band had to travel for their concert on the following night.

[insert prefunctory rant about The Big Four]

The most awkward interview ever

You know, when news was out that Megadeth’s new album is called 13, this interview was shown on many sources because Dave explains the meaning of 13 to him (13th album, he was 13 when he started playing guitar, that sort of thing).

But watch the whole thing and see how cringe-worthy it is. Every question is asked in a very awkward way and Dave answers it even more awkwardly. It’s such a mess.

I don’t know if Dave simply didn’t like the questions or just misunderstood some words because of the guy’s thick Scottish accent, but man oh man, it was hard to watch. The questions weren’t stellar, either. It’s like all the perfect ingredients came together to create the ultimate embarrassing interview.

Credit goes to RockAAA.com, although I wouldn’t brag about being behind that video if I were them.

Yep, Diamond Head joined the jam

Okay so maybe not all of Diamond Head, just guitarist Brian Tatler.

Now, I have updated the original post about this but hey, Metallica.com has some awesome photos up so I stole got a couple of them to post here.

Make the jump to see a few and a link to the full gallery.

And yes, I realize most of the news is now Big Four-related somehow but hey, what can you do? Would you rather read about whom Bret Michaels is singing with? I thought so.
