Head hit himself in the head

Head

Brian “Head” Welch, the former guitarist for Korn, and current solo Christian artist touring bars and writing more books than he has probably read in his life, recently spent a good portion of his live show bleeding from his head. No, you can’t make shit like that up. Apparently, he banged his head against the mic stand. Hmmmm, yeah… Maybe if by “bang” he means “got in the way of” and by “mic stand” he means “an unidentified object from the audience”. Unfortunately that part wasn’t caught on video.

What’s fun is fun, but the beginning of the video you’re about to see if you make the jump goes into the “WTF” category, the guy is definitely suffering from a bit of an identity crisis, to put it nicely. He plays a few Korn songs after that, which makes it worth the watch. Or not.

Korn drummer is modest

If you don’t know who Ray Luzier is, props, it means you have good taste in music. I, on the other hand, have to read about anyone and everyone because I write news on this site, God dammit, so I know who he is. He’s the new Korn drummer. Well, not entirely new since he joined a few years ago, but he’s not the old guy. Whatfuckingever…

So someone asked him how come Korn made the mistake decision to hire him as their full time drummer, and he gets defensive, citing his whole life story. Insecure much, Luzier?

It was great, because I never do anything half-assed with my music. I’ve had a pretty extensive music career, I’ve had the privilege of working within the music and touring industry for so long now — I started touring back in ’94. Ozzy Osbourne was my first tour and then everything in between — eight years of David Lee Roth, three years of Army of Anyone — and loads of other great things too. Everything I do I try and do it 110%.

Read full interview here.

Yeah yeah yeah, ok Luzier, we get it… Jeez… Nobody asked you for your autobiography. I like your name though, is the ‘i’ silent?

Korn have fans

Braids Nu-metal band Korn would like us to think they have fans. So they hired a bunch of actors to pretend like they are at a meet and greet, but honestly, who buys that?

Check out some bad acting after the jump.

When asked why they have Bob Marley haircuts, Korn had no comment.

P.S. = We know the photo above is not the current lineup of the band and we don’t really care. Just a reminder before you bitch in the comments.

Dimmu Borgir who? Korn aren't sure.

Dimmu Borgir may not be a REAL Metal band, but they’re still a REAL band. Well, by real, I mean not make-believe, not that they’re actually any good. Still, you’d think touring with them, Korn would know who they are… Erm well apparently not, as can be seen in the interview with Fieldy after the jump (skip to 6 minutes).

“What do you think about Dimmu ‘Borgir’ and their music?”

“Of who?”

“Dimmu Borgir – the band you’re touring with”

“Oh… I don’t really know…”

Remember who plays what in Korn?

Ray Luzier

It’s a sad day for Korn when their highest talent is also the newest addition to the band’s not so solid line-up. They can only wish they were as lucky with guitar players as they were with drummers, though.

Ray Luzier, the only non-original band member who doesn’t have to play behind amps during their live shows (because he plays behind the drum-kit) was recently interviewed by Roadrunner Italy, and discussed various things, including his musical influences. Let me drop you a spoiler: Don’t expect to hear anything about David Silveria. Watch the video after the jump.
