Korn recruits Morgan of Sevendust

Korn are about to lose their only most talented member, the drummer Ray Luzier, for a few shows, as he’s about to give birth or something. I’m sure Korn fans around the world will be weeping, but weep no more, as the band have recruited Sevendust drummer Morgan Rose to take over. I’m pretty sure no one will notice… This band change their members more often than I change my underwear. Although that’s not hard to be fair, I’ve only changed my boxers three times in my life.

Korn drummer is modest

If you don’t know who Ray Luzier is, props, it means you have good taste in music. I, on the other hand, have to read about anyone and everyone because I write news on this site, God dammit, so I know who he is. He’s the new Korn drummer. Well, not entirely new since he joined a few years ago, but he’s not the old guy. Whatfuckingever…

So someone asked him how come Korn made the mistake decision to hire him as their full time drummer, and he gets defensive, citing his whole life story. Insecure much, Luzier?

It was great, because I never do anything half-assed with my music. I’ve had a pretty extensive music career, I’ve had the privilege of working within the music and touring industry for so long now — I started touring back in ’94. Ozzy Osbourne was my first tour and then everything in between — eight years of David Lee Roth, three years of Army of Anyone — and loads of other great things too. Everything I do I try and do it 110%.

Yeah yeah yeah, ok Luzier, we get it… Jeez… Nobody asked you for your autobiography. I like your name though, is the ‘i’ silent?

Remember who plays what in Korn?

Ray Luzier

It’s a sad day for Korn when their highest talent is also the newest addition to the band’s not so solid line-up. They can only wish they were as lucky with guitar players as they were with drummers, though.

Ray Luzier, the only non-original band member who doesn’t have to play behind amps during their live shows (because he plays behind the drum-kit) was recently interviewed by Roadrunner Italy, and discussed various things, including his musical influences. Let me drop you a spoiler: Don’t expect to hear anything about David Silveria. Watch the video after the jump.
