Corey Taylor can use Twitter, let’s us know he’s working with Dave Grohl
Shocking, right? I didn’t think that Corey Taylor would use Twitter, he seems kinda above it. Like, it’s for people who usually have loads of free time and shitty bloggers, not people as important as Corey, who are always on tour, promoting their books, giving rad speeches, rocking the acoustic guitar or whatevs.
Oh, the other thing… Seems he made a collaboration with none other than Dave Grohl and Butch Vig, and people are speculating it’s got something to do with Grohl’s other recent team project, a song with Ratt, and that in fact it might be revival of Grohl’s Probot project.
Anywho, the tweet:

Two members of Ratt (Stephen Pearcy and Warren DeMartini) recorded a song for yet another band Dave Grohl is in.
“We’ll let [Dave] tell you about when he’s ready, kidz. Not for a Ratt record.“
Said one of the members… Got it, kidz? Represent.
How many bands has Dave Grohl been in, anyway? It seems like it’s easier to count bands he hasn’t been involved with. Dude sure loves his job, huh?

Dave Grohl. Godlike? Genius?
According to Shockwave NME Awards, yes he is. According to Grohl himself, no. The Godlike Genius award will be handed to him in February, and here’s what he had to say about it:
“I don’t think I’m godlike or a genius,” he told NME.com. “It’s flattering. It’s a nice thing to be acknowledged for doing something you love to do, but in truth I don’t consider it a body of work because I don’t consider it work.”
Isn’t it nice to see someone humble for a change? Imagine Axl Rose or Serj Tankian getting the award. Imagine their speach. I guess the universe would implode as a counter reaction to it. Good thing we have Dave Grohl.

Shocking: Dave Grohl is a movie star
Dave Grohl will be appearing in another film — apparently he has a cameo in the new Muppets feature where he replaces Animal on the drum set. Hm, first The Pick of Destiny, now The Muppets. Who knows, maybe in a few years, he scores a deal with Disney and appears as a singing animal in a Bambi sequel, Bambi 3D.
Seriously now, I did like him as Satan. Here’s what the news source had to say:
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl will have a cameo appearance in the new Muppets film, NME.com reports that the singer-guitarist-drummer is going to sit in for usual Muppet drummer Animal, who will be out attending anger management courses.
Grohl won’t be the only guest star in the Muppets film, which is due next year. Lady Gaga, Jack Black and Jean-Claude Van Damme will also make cameos in the movie, which stars How I Met Your Mother‘s Jason Segel. The sitcom star also is co-writing the film.
Lady Gaga, Jason Segel? Thanks, I’ll pass.
