We Came As Romans are Mis/understood, Deftones hit Bodom

Yo yo yo, quick video update: We Came As Romans have just released a video for Mis/Understanding, and it’s hilarious. And very retarded, which adds even more laughs to the mix. Need I say the humor is completely unintentional? They’ve single-handedly made guitar spins uncool forever, synchronized crabcore jumps even funnier, and ruined the idea of a moshpit forever. Seriously, just what the fuck is going on at 2:22? I mean, if they brought some special ed class to the show, that’s awfully nice of them, but somehow I don’t think that’s the case, which makes it just awful.

Second video for today is a fan filmed footage of a Deftones show that took place in Helsinki. Why are we bothering with this one? Because Mr. Children of Bodom, Alexi Laiho, joined them on stage for the performance of Roots. Odd mix, and you can see the results after the jump.

Friday Top 10: Ugliest guitars

Guitars are beautiful and they make anyone look good. But what happens when some musicians get extremely ugly ones? Is it because they lack good taste or do they just want to stand out?

Either way, some guitars used by known musicians are atrocious looking, and that’s what this Top 10 is all about. Make the jump and let’s laugh at some hideous instruments.

Note: This top is based solely on aesthetics (it means ‘looks’ for all you SOAD fans). It has nothing to do with price, quality or the guitarists themselves. It is based on what I consider ‘ugly looking’ instruments.
