Death Angel release new video

Remember when we told you about Death Angel shooting a video for ‘Truce’, which comes off their latest album ‘Relentless Retribution’?

Well, Death Angel finally released said video. Were my predictions, of it being a cross of Saw, Crank and Indiana Jones, right? Probably not. Check it out after the jump.

Metal on Simpsons

Hey! Did you watch Simpsons last night?  I didn’t because Simpsons haven’t been funny since season 7, but apparently Anvil had their most popular song, “Metal on Metal” played last night.

Somebody on Facebook posted the video and you can view it here.

Amon Amarth album arriving

Amon Amarth

Good news for Vikings and everyone who feels like one, Amon Amarth have confirmed rumors of them working on a new album. Not like we didn’t see this one coming, but here’s their announcement:

The last couple of months we have been busy working on our follow-up to ‘Twilight Of The Thunder God’. Ten songs were written and on October 1 we started tracking drums for the album in Park Studios. After a short trip to Tokyo, which included our first-ever show in Japan at the renowned Loud Park festival, we continued tracking bass and guitars at Fascination Street studios. Recordings have been going well and we are now more than half way through and the album starts to take shape. We’ll keep you updated with more info soon!

So sometime probably during 2011 the world is going to be reminded that, contrary to whatever they might think or how hard they try, they will never be as metal as something from Sweden. We can’t wait.

Some guy performs some thing

Guns N’ Roses Guitarist to Perform National Anthem at Kansas City Chiefs Game.

My first thoughts when reading this story this morning, for just under a second, was; oh awesome, Slash will be performing the national anthem at a Kansas City Chiefs game (I’ll be honest, I’m not American, and no I don’t know what that is).

Of course, I was wrong though, because this is 2010, and in reality, Guns N’ Roses don’t exist anymore. There’s a bunch of guys no one has heard of that like to make use of the name, but no one really cares do they? Here’s an example:

Guitarist D.J. Ashba will perform the national anthem during the Arizona Cardinals at Kansas City Chiefs NFL football game on Sunday, November 21 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

Look, does anyone care? No, they don’t. I’m willing to bet most people will be saying “who the fuck is D.J Ashba?” – well, he’s the current Guns N’ Roses guitarist… Apparently… So, there you go, do you care? No you don’t

Let's play a game…

I’m going to tell you Danish Metallers Illdisposed will be entering the studio in January to record a new album, and you’re going to pretend you care. Good? Good.

That is, unless you’re from Denmark, in which case you might actually care, as the band’s last album, To Those That Walk Behind Us, managed to get to number 32 in the charts over there.
