Sonic soap opera

I can’t say I’ve ever received much pleasure from listening to Sonic Syndicate, but I can say reading the latest episode from their soap opera is rather entertaining.

Want a summary? Basically, co-vocalist Richard Sjunnesson, left the band claiming that they have an “inability to play decent music.” Funnily enough though, vocalist, Nathan Biggs, claims this is a lie (anyone surprised?) Biggs also went on to claim that Sjunnesson‘s statement that they allowed their label, Nuclear Blast, to interfere with the musical direction was also a lie.

So basically, some shit was said, then some more shit, but apparently it’s all lies. If you care, which I doubt you do, read more here.

Interview: Chris (Jack Slater)

Jack Slater released their 4th album, ‘Extinction Aftermath,’ earlier this year. One of my favorite releases of this year but you’ll see my favorite albums list of 2010 soon enough.

Recently Slater’s bassist Chris agreed to do an Email interview with me, read it after the jump.

Cure for insomnia found

Fantastic news! I’ve been recently suffering from insomnia, but luckily, I managed to find a cure earlier today. I simply watched a video interview with We Are The Fallen, and within seconds, I had fallen fast asleep.

Are you wondering who We Are The Fallen are, and why they have such a stupid name? They’re basically just Evanescence, but with some American Idol chick instead of the Axl Rose of mediocre uninspired gothic rock, Amy Lee. The name, despite what they may claim, comes from the fact that these are the members that recorded Evanescence‘s breakthrough album, Fallen. We Are The Fallen, get it? Clever right…

Anyways, if you’re having trouble sleep, why not try watching the interview after the jump. I would summarize what was said in the interview, but like I said, I fell asleep.

Lemmy is still rock and roll.

Lemmy Kilmister, lead vocalist from legendary band Motorhead, recently conducted an interview with Radio Metal.

It’s a pretty cool interview.  Lemmy talks about his bands upcoming new album, The World Is Yours (which will be released on December 13th, 2010), pokes fun at Brian Welch for being the Jesus of rock and roll, says rock and roll is so much better than being a geek on the computer and much more.

Click here to check out the interview and make the jump to view my favourite Motorhead song.
