Steven Tyler likes balls

You know by now that Steven Tyler is the new American Idol judge. Also, $20 says American Idol will have the lowest ratings ever this upcoming season… Anyway, you know from now on a lot of questions like “OMG HOW WILL YOU FIND TIME TO BE A ROCKSTAR NOW THAT YOU ARE ONTV??” will keep being asked, so might as well get used to it.

But check out how Steven answers this question in a recent interview. Is it just me, or is he being a bit more “male friendly” than usual?

“I’m married to four men. I mean, you think women are bad. Did I say that? So it’s a marriage, and there’s a lot of ups and downs, and we went through a period there — a slow period — where everybody was not feeling so good. […] So it just is what it is. It’s good, because it afforded us a down period, and we got a chance to look at each other. […] I can juggle a lot of balls, so it’s all looking good.”

Listen to the full interview here.

Now, I’m not a homophobe. I like Wham! as much as the next man. But don’t those quote just feel a bit off to you? I was waiting for something like “And this one time, at band practice…” to come next.

Anthemsmith

New American Idol judge Steven Tyler will sing the national anthem at some hockey game or something. I dozed off midway through the news and I woke up in a daze, remembering nothing.

“Aerosmith frontman, Steven Tyler, will sing the National Anthem at the Bruins domestic home opener against the Washington Capitals at 7:00 p.m. at the TD Garden (100 Legends Way, Boston MA 02114.) Tyler is in town to help the Boston Bruins Foundation kick-off their season-long raffle for a customized Bruins motorcycle.

Full article here.

When asked if he can fit two hockey pucks, side by side, in his mouth, Steven had no comment. He just raised three fingers.

Aerosmith to continue

Here at Dose of Metal, we are both deeply saddened and shocked to hear that, despite Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler’s new job on American Idol, this will not spell the end for Trashcore band, Aerosmith.  At least according to bassist Tom Hamilton (yep, I haven’t heard of him either).

We can only hope that one day, these dinosaurs finally decide to call it a day.

Dinerosmith > Aerosmith

Green… Is my new obsession. Green, is not even a question…

Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler is known for two things. One, his enormous fucking mouth, which looks like it could wreck Haiti with a simple sneeze. Two… Well that’s about it, really.

However, if you thought American Idol was a bad show, good news. It’s gonna get worse. The rumors were true, Steven is officially confirmed as a new Idol judge…

If you’re looking forward to seeing the second grand canyon move and throw insults at contestants, in glorious HD mind you, then 2011 will be your best year yet.

When asked for a comment, Joe Perry pushed the interviewer off the stage and then helped him back up.

Steven Tyler loves his song a lot

According to Tokyograph, the wide mouthed (speculated to be caused by giving one too many blowjobs) Aerosmith singer, Steven Tyler will sing the theme song to some movie no one’s waiting for, Space Battleship Yamato (although geeks will probably love this crap).

The track, entitled “Love Lives”, will be part of Tyler‘s first solo project, and the frontman loves it so much, he’s releasing 4 different versions!  Yes you heard that correctly, 4.  So if you love the song, and wonder what it’ll sound like acoustically, or played on piano, now you can find out.  Wow such lucky fans, Steven sure does love you.

The amazing “Love Lives” single track listing:

01. Love Lives
02. Love Lives (acoustic version)
03. Love Lives (piano version)
04. Love Lives (instrumental)

Can’t get much more diverse and orginal than that; the same song, but tracked 4 times.

Check out a clip from the song here.
