Shinedown have a new video. The song is called “Bully” and you can watch the video after the jump.
The track’s name is appropriate, boy do I feel like bullying Shinedown fans. Good thing I’m not homophobic.
Slayer’s Tom Araya recently revealed that the band are not going into the studio until Jeff Hanneman fully recovered from necrotizing fasciitis, the result of a spider bite (view the picture to see Hanneman’s arm, where he was bitten). More on that here.
A few days ago, Dave Mustaine anounced, on his Twitter account, that the record sessions for Megadeth’s forthcoming album were halted because their producer, Johnny K, fell ill. Well, rejoice because they’re already back in the studio.
Shinedown said something about their new album and I wanted to crack a joke here but I mistook them for Throwdown. Now, I don’t really know what to say because I don’t even know who they are. With Throwdown, I at least know that they rip off Pantera. Oh well.
I have never watched American Idol myself, Alex is our expert on that, so I didn’t know that Judas Priest appeared on the show but apparently, the show was watched by 30 million people. Uh… hooray? Video of their performance, with some gay guy (and I’m not talking about Halford), after the jump.
Bad news if you’re a Shinedown fan: You have shitty taste in music!
Also, Shinedown‘s main man Brent Smith did some vocals for Apocalyptica‘s single “Not Strong Enough.” But they had to be removed because of ‘record company politics.’ My first thought was “Damn, that record company’s politics apparently are ‘do not ruin your record'” until I read who replaced him: Doug Robb of Hoobastank.
Suddenly Brent Smith sounds a lot better.
You’ll have to excuse my lack of interest/research on this matter, but I really don’t care. Just thought of the “shitty taste in music” joke when I read this news and had to post it. If you didn’t find it funny, fuck you, you probably listen to Shinedown! OH SNAPPP!!!!1111
Anyways, Blabbermouth has much more info on the matter and the two versions of the song which I’m just way too lazy to embed here.
Shinedown (pictured above, unfortunately) will release a ‘deluxe edition’ (read: shameless milker) of their 2008 smash non-hit “The Sound Of Madness.” The release date is November 23rd, blah blah, it will have nine bonus songs, blah blah, overall buy it if you want, don’t buy it if you don’t… Who am I to tell you what to do?
Apparently Americans like bands with silly masks, as Mushroomhead’s album is in the U.S. Top 50 chart. Well, at #44, but still, pretty good for some guys who look like the gimp in Pulp Fiction. It sold over 11,000 copies in its first week of release and this begs the question… How come my band ‘Sexy Clowns From Hell’ never got popular? Unfair.
White Wizzard released a song in tribute to the late Ronnie James Dio. Check it out on their MySpace page. It’s called “Shooting Star” and it’s the first song featuring their new vocalist. Sorry, couldn’t be bothered remembering his name
