Metallica, Mustaine, Ozzy and Geezer sitting in a tree…

So the last Fillmore anniversary show had quite a lot of guests. Like we told you before, Dave was there, and apparently Geezer and Ozzy joined them on stage, also.

Aside from them, former Metallica bassists Newsted and McGovney were present, as was Bob Rock.

Dave played five songs with them: Hit The Lights, Metal Militia, Phantom Lord, Jump in the Fire and Seek and Destroy.

You can find some photos and the setlist on Blabbermouth. No point in wasting time putting those photos here since you can just do one click and BOOM: everything is there.

Dave and Metallica sitting in a tree…

Dave Mustaine will attend Metallica‘s final San Francisco show celebrating their 30th birthday, and I have to say, that’s awesome. I’ve made so many Dave/Metallica jokes here, it’s only fair I should give credit where credit is due — The feud seems to finally be over, and that’s pretty awesome.

Well, it’s over until Dave feels the need to name drop Metallica again to promote his new album, then it may get revived. But for now… Weeee.

Here is Dave’s official tweet:

I am up in SF for Metallica’s 30 anniversary. I look forward to celebrating with them.

Read tweet here.

Rumor has it that the shows have been taped by HD cameras, so maybe a Blu-Ray of these concerts will hit The Pirate Bay be up for sale someday.

By the way, here’s a drinking game for you. Read this Dave interview and drink each time Dave says ‘to a degree.’

Dave Mustaine can solve the world’s problems

Dave Mustaine doesn’t care for “Occupy Wall Street,” because the guy clearly ‘gets it’ and ‘sees the big picture.’ He also calls Michael Moore fat.

Everyone needs to shut up about this whole Occupy Wall Street thing. I think the protesters have very good intentions, but it’s an example of good being misled. The President is setting these guys up to be dead in the road. Everyone should protest at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue if they want some change. I also really hate some of these bleeding hearts, like Michael Moore, the fat dude who does these exposés. We don’t need more of that; we need lower taxes and governments that listen.

If you think Dave is not onto what the government is trying to do, think again. He got the master plan figured out.

My current fixation is that I’m sadly mesmerized by watching the news and how the government is destroying this country. It’s pretty obvious to me that they’re trying to get rid of the middle class. It also seems like we’re moving more towards a single world currency, and I find that very frightening.

DAVE MUSTAINE 2012!!! YES HE CAN!

By the way… Did I make a full HOPE poster with Dave? Of course I have. See it after the jump.

Mustaine loves his own site, performs on Kimmel

Megadeth performed two songs on Jimmy Kimmel last night, in full Halloween costumes. Oh snap, that’s like, WOW, amazeballs!

You can watch ‘Symphony’ being performed above.

Speaking of Megadave, he claims his website is the best ever, because he allows fans to speak their mind — even though I’ve heard he deletes negative discussions all the time.

I think that for us, with our site, we’ve got one of the coolest web sites, because fans can actually come there and say, ‘Hey, we don’t like this song,’ and they can actually say they don’t like that song and were not going to ban them. And I think that’s cool.

Really, really cool, unless you actually do delete negative threads, then it’s not that cool. But he used to be a wiseguy, so I guess he gets a pass:

Even the guys who come to our web site and act like tough guys, I know that that’s just part of the culture now, acting like a tough guy on the Internet. I don’t do that that much anymore. I used to be kind of a wiseguy, liked to shoot zingers and stuff, but maybe in my old age I’ve just changed a little bit.

Make the jump to check out the second song they performed on Kimmel.

Weak Recap: Metalheads Anonymous

Hello and welcome to your daily MA meeting here at Dose of Metal. We are here to guide you, through group therapy sessions, from music for posers to music for true metalheads. Metalheads Anonymous is the only way to turn you into a headbanging, beer-drinking metal elitist.

The first item on the MA agenda is the weekly Weak Recap. If you want to look forward to become a metalhead, you have to look in the past how the metalhead elite has done it. And let’s face it, there is no better place to learn of metal than at Dose of Metal.

So let’s get it started, shall we? Go ahead and make the jump.
