A few interviews

Aaron Lewis (Staind)

Wouldn’t it be fun to read and see a shitload of interviews? Yes? It’s your lucky day:

Megadeth‘s drummer (too lazy to check for the name and you probably don’t care) checked into a drum clinic. So many sick drummers today. See what he talked about here.

Aaron Lewis of Staind is as fat as ever, and he’s promoting his new solo, country flavored album. Shoot me, then see the stuff here.

Airbourne also had a few minutes to speak for some Swedish web site. Click to see it.

Accept frontman Mark Tornillo talked about his “rock scene”. Video can be found here.

And finally, “made of metal” Rob Halford talked for The Governor’s Ball. You know the drill.

Simon Wright performs with Airbourne

Comparisons to AC/DC are a bit unfair for Airbourne.  They don’t really look like AC/DC, they don’t really sound much like AC/DC, it’s not like they’re also from Australia, and it’s not like any members of AC/DC are performing with them…

Oh wait, nevermind, because apart from the fact they look and sound like AC/DC and they’re also from Australia, former AC/DC drummer Simon Wright recently joined Airbourne on stage on September 17, 2010 at the Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival in Irvine, California.

Check out the performance after the jump.

Airbourne to play next year's Wacken

The highly original Airbourne have been confirmed for next year’s Wacken Open Air festival in Germany.  Also confirmed are Blind Guardian, Apocalyptica, Suicidal Tendencies, and Avantasia.

When asked if Airbourne had ever considered writing some original material, the singer was too busy screaming “THUNDERSTRUCK!” to respond.

If you’re German and want to check out a glorified AC/DC tribute act with a singer that doesn’t sound like a demented chimp, then you can see them August 4-6, 2011. Mark it in your diaries now!
