Wake up!
Hey, it’s early morning (somewhere in this world, I hope, to the rest of you – shut the fuck up), and what better way to start it than with a Sepultura song? Okay, you could start it with a blowjob from a hot chick, but face it, if you are reading this, you’re most likely a nerd (and if it’s actually morning, even more so) and this is the next best thing.
Last week the band released the title track from their upcoming album Kairos, and I gotta say, it’s pretty fucking sweet. Don’t trust me? Have a listen, and judge for yourself.
You only live once, right?
Much can be said of Suicide Silence, the real question is if anything good would be among those things. Well, let’s take a quick look: deathcore therefore easy to take stabs at – check; looks meant for easy jokes – check. I mean, seriously, put a shirt on. But what about the music? Don’t look at me, I’m superficial and judge people only by their looks.
All kidding aside, I’ve heard a few things by them before and I wasn’t overtly impressed, so I had a hard time giving their new song a chance (especially because you have to “like” them on Facebook in order to do so), but boredom combined with slow internet (therefore no porn :'( ) prevailed and I clicked the button. What can I say, you only live once (which is also the name of the track… genius), and the song is actually not that bad. Well, it actually sounds like a song as opposed to a random combination of 23 breakdowns. So if you’re also bored and can’t watch porn at the moment, go here and give the song a listen.
Video of the Week: Rammstein (at Jimmy Kimmel)
You know, I like Rammstein, but isn’t ‘Du Hast’ the most overplayed song in their repertoire? I know that they haven’t toured in the States in about 10 years but is ‘Du Hast’ a good choice to play, instead of a new song?
They played that particular song on Jimmy Kimmel Live this past thursday and, while I really enjoyed the performance, I’m simply just sick of the song. The band released four albums since then and — even though this might be their most known song — I think this is a poor choice to get back into people’s minds.
I don’t even particularly like their new album, Liebe Ist Für Alle Da (= Love Is For Everyone), but I think I would have prefered them to play a song off that record.
But it is what it is, and I imagine Jimmy Kimmel and his people had a say in that, too. So just watch the performance above and enjoy a lot of fire because that’s what Rammstein are all about. Crazy and fun shows with a lot of fire.
Hammerfall live in the studio
Swedish melodic Metallers, Hammerfall, have released a brand new video of themselves performing new song ‘Send Me The Sign’ live in the studio. The song is taken from the band’s new album, Infected, released just yesterday via Nuclear Blast Records. The video itself can be found on the bonus disc of the special edition version of the album. What’s that? You haven’t downloaded “bought” the album yet? Well luckily for you, we’re good at technology here at Dose of Metal and we’ve worked out how to embed the video (via Youtube) above, so go ahead and click that play button.
More information on this can be found over at Blabbermouth.
