Foo Fighters perform with Alice Cooper

Foo Fighters performed with Alice Cooper (or Alice Cooper performed with Foo Fighters, whichever) yesterday in front of 65,000 people at The National Bowl in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom to perform two of Alice‘s classic tracks — ‘Schools Out’ and ‘I’m 18’.

By the way, random fact alert, but I used to have a crush on Alice Cooper and then someone informed me that he’s a man. The same also happened with Michael Jackson and Lady Gaga. Now I don’t know what to think 🙁

Check the video of the performance above.

Rob Zombie ain’t no Sellout yo

Rob Zombie, otherwise known as ‘that dude from the 90s’ (no, not Fred Durst), has defended his decision to get behind the camera for a commercial for laundry detergent Woolite and says he isn’t a sell out.

Well it’s not like he’s biased though, and I’m sure he didn’t take a huge payment from the company for the commercial. Nah, he did it out of the goodness of his little zombie heart, bless him.

More crap at Blabbermouth.

‘Home of Metal’ 40 years of Heavy Metal

‘I Am Birmingham’ has uploaded a video of the ‘Home of Metal’ the exhibit that’s currently taking place in Birmingham (England) in celebration of the Heavy Metal roots that were born in the Black Country region.

Watch the video above for some cheesy music that doesn’t really resemble Heavy Metal at all and some equally cheesy visual effects.

Tony Iommi has been involved in the project and recently admitted that he actually regards Black Sabbath as ‘heavy Rock’ but is proud to be regarded as a creator of Metal. The exhibition runs until September 25 at the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery in Birmingham, England.

Review: The Cleansing – Feeding The Inevitable

The Cleansing recently released their second album Feeding The Inevitable. Reason enough for me to check it out and write down my thoughts.

The Cleansing are from Copenhagen, Denmark and released their debut album, Poisoned Legacy, in 2009. Two years later they’re back with another Death Metal attack (hey, that rhymed).

Make the jump to read my review about this second strike of theirs.

Bill Bailey teaches the Devil Chord

English comedian Bill Bailey is hiding in a secret bunker somewhere (I do that too, apart from my secret bunker is my parent’s basement), preparing for his upcoming set at the UK’s Sonisphere festival.

You can watch a video of him above teaching us the wonders of ‘the Devil Chord’ as well as performing a a slightly different version of Slayer‘s ‘Angel of Death’.
