Dave likes Peace Sells… But who doesn’t?

It’s a beautiful Saturday morning here. I’m eating countless bowls of Lucky Charms with midget porn playing in the background. I’m also on my laptop trying to steal searching for metal news.  Well, I found something that might interest you,  but only if you enjoy seeing good bands live.

Megadeth might have a 25th Anniversary tour for Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying.

Dave Mustaine tells VH1 Radio

We’ve already had people talk to us about doing that and I told our manager that I’m totally interested in doing Peace Sells for a 25th anniversary this year, but I don’t want to do it all year like we did with Rust in Peace. I want to do it towards the end of the year. So we’ll do the whole year doing our thing and then come around October, where the end of the year is, you’ve got a quarter of the year left, October, November and December, where we can do the Peace Sells thing.

Megadeth rule live.  I really don’t think anyone should miss seeing them in concert later in the year.

Devildriver want you to hear another song

On January 11th,  we reported that Devildriver released a new song and boring artwork for their upcoming new album “Beast.” Fast forward couple weeks later and the guys decided to release another free song, this time through the official website from a magazine that’s only interesting when they release these type of issues.

Anyway, the title of the new Devildriver song is “Bring The Fight (To The Floor)“.  You can listen to it and read a quick interview with the band here

Bonded By Blood get new blood

Bonded By Blood are a promising thrash metal band from Pomona, California.  Front man Jose Barrales decided to leave the band at the end of 2010 and since then, they quickly replaced him with Mauro Gonzalez to finish the tour.  Apparently they’ve been killing it live the last couple months, so they decided it was fair that Mauro Gonzalez would be the permanent vocalist for the band.

Jerry Garcia, bassist for Bonded By Blood states:

We would like to formally announce that Mauro Gonzalez is now officially the new frontman for Bonded By Blood. He has shown great promise and dedication in the past few months and we have received great reviews from many old fans, new fans, and well-established musicians throughout our recent North American trek. We are very excited about our decision and we hope that you guys welcome him into the BBB family like we have! See you guys on the killing road real soon.

When asked for comment, Jose Barrales started singing the words to “Metal Command” from Exodus and then predicted he will replace Rob Dukes by the end of the year.

Dose Of Overrated

Ever purchased an album because either your buddy, an editor from your favorite metal magazine or a few random people on a message board raved about it being so awesome, yet that certain album didn’t click with you as you imagined? Of course!  I think that has happened to all of us.  Well, here are 7 albums that fit that description perfectly, in my humble opinion.  Why 7?  Why not a top 10 list you ask?  Because today is not Friday, you silly goose.

Make the jump for the 7 most overrated albums of the 2000s.

Remember when Judas Priest went to court?

If you’re over the age of 35, chances are you remember that trial from the summer of 1990.  Heavy Metal gods Judas Priest were taking to court because two stupid kids thought it would be a cool idea to try and commit suicide.  The reason?  Because the song “Better By You, Better Than Me“, supposedly had a subliminal message that told them to “do it”.  Raymond Belknap successfully killed himself but James Vance actually survived.

Dream Deceivers: The Story behind James Vance VS Judas Priest is a documentary you need to check out, regardless if you’re a Judas Priest fan or not.  It basically follows creepy James Vance and his ridiculously religious mom crying how metal music is evil and also thinks teens should not be listening to heavy metal music.  The documentary also shows footage from the court room.

Make the jump to view Rob Halford singing in court and a YouTube link to that evil song.
