Tom Araya is careful

Slayer and Megadeth toured together quite a bit lately, and with all The Big Four rumors, they’re likely to keep doing it. So of course, the whole rivalry questions will never end. But to be fair to interviewers, it seems the old feuds still seem to be there, at least in the form of paranoia.

He’s another human being who lives on this planet, and that’s about it. He comes across as a nice guy, but I keep my guard up around him. He’s courteous to me and my wife and my kids. So I’m courteous in return. said Tom about Dave Mustaine

Can’t we all just… Get along? All things have an end (except the sausage, the sausage has two ends, but I digress), so while I do applaud all four bands for putting their personal differences aside and being professional, I don’t think these types of statements help. Oh well, what do I know? Except, you know… Everything…

Dave Mustaine is sneaky

Dave Mustaine of Megadave is being subtle on Facebook.

I just went through a couple weeks of hell arranging something special for you this summer. Stay tuned! Because we are going to be having some Big shows coming up.paid Dave some kid to write on his official Facebook page.

Read it here.

People are, of course, speculating about a Big Four Tour in the U.S. Since the ‘big’ has a capital B in it, Dave might be hinting at that with subtlety. We wouldn’t be surprised considering how well the DVD sold. Oh btw, we’re also giving one away, motherfuckers, enter now before it’s too late.

Lars loves the Big 4

Lars Ulrich, Metallica‘s drummer and main ranter, loved The Big Four. It’s all good and all, but we heard him the first time he said it.

It’s pretty amazing if you think about it, that it’s the first time basically in 25 years or 30 or whatever that the four of us have actually played shows together,” he said. “So it was a lot of fun, a lot of memories, a lot of fun times — new fun times, and fun times talking about the old fun times. So it sort of was a, it was a winner on every front.” said Lars while counting his zillions.

Well, I’m sure he does love them since the DVD pretty much sold like hot candy. Expect an in-depth review of it, coming from us, quite soon. Also expect general badassery coming from this site.

Review: The Big 4 Live From Sofia, Bulgaria (Deluxe Box Set)

June 22th, 2010 was one of the most metal days in the existence of… everything! The Big Four of Thrash Metal; Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax; not only played the same festival, the Sonisphere Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria, together. No, their performances were also recorded, edited and aired in over 800 cinemas all over the world, where over 100,000 fans watched the spectacle.

Now, a couple of days ago, the Box Set of the event was released. I bought it and shall do a short but to the point review for you within the next couple of minutes. Go on after the jump.

In addition, we will hold a Big Four Week soon (dates to be announced), where we will review each performance in-depth, as well as comparing the DVDs and Blu-Rays of the event and whatever else we can think of.
