There is no justice in the world
“Nintendo metal” band Linkin Park debuted their first album ever not to feature either anime or remixes.
While metal legends Megadeth barely sold 3,000 albums (granted, of a live cd) in the first week, these guys are likely to sell 260,000. If that’s no proof that there is no God, I don’t know what is.
The album, entitled “A Thousand Suns,” features about 30 interludes and 3 full-length tracks, so make sure to pick it up if you have the attention span of a housefly and can’t stand tracks longer than 40 seconds.
Metal legends up for "Best Concert Tour of the Year" Award.
Two undeniable legends, Iron Maiden and AC/DC, are nominations for Eventful Inc and Billboard’s “Best Concert Tour of the Year” Award.
Fans can log on to eventful.com/fanschoice in order to vote for their choice.
The twenty-five artists up for the award include AC/DC, ALICIA KEYS, BON JOVI, BLACK EYED PEAS, DAVE MATTHEWS BAND, THE EAGLES, IRON MAIDEN, JAY-Z, JOHN MAYER, LADY GAGA, MICHAEL BUBLE, NICKELBACK, TIM MCGRAW, and TAYLOR SWIFT.
Obviously someone’s made a terrible mistake if shite like Black Eyed Peas, Nickelcack and Lady Gaga are on the list. Make sure you vote for either AC/DC or Iron Maiden if you know what’s good for you.
Lars compares 'Big Four' to iPhone app
Metallica might be old, but they’re still up to date with the youth, yo. As Lars demonstrates in a recent interview, comparing The Big Four to “something on the iPhone.”
“The vibe on this thing is so big, we’d be stupid to ignore it. You know on your iPhone, you can move the weather maps up and down? Well, the ‘Big Four’ is quickly moving up to the top in terms of potential occurrences for the next couple of years.“
Well, Lars, you know that button on the iPhone, the one that turns it off? Apparently that’s what “The Big Four” should have “clicked,” circa 1990.

Korn to perform free show in El Paso
Good news for people that still think dreadlocks and Adidas tracksuits are cool, Korn’s upcoming show on October 30th at the Speaking Rock Event Center in El Paso, Texas, will be absolutely free.
Korn are apparently doing this out of the goodness of their hearts… Definitely doesn’t have anything to do with poor ticket sales then.
Bret Michaels needs money
The reasons behind Bret Michaels appearance on a new VH1 show, Rock of Love Boat (click) have been revealed.
Apparently his music career is dead and he can’t even give away tickets to his shows. Because of this, some show in Washington last week was cancelled. Damn, lucky guys.
One spokesperson commented “We heard a lot of people talking about it, but people just didn’t buy tickets.”
So all you fans better make sure you watch his, no doubt to be amazing, Rock of love boat show, if you want to save his career.
My advice though is don’t.
In other news, apparently the once famous has-been has taken to advertising deoderant, as can be seen from the above picture.
