Iron Maiden announcement
British legends, Iron Maiden, are making a special UK announcement on the 11th November at 12pm (UK time… obviously!)
Oh my, what could it be? Could it be they’re announcing the second coming of Christ? (Hint – seems very unlikely) Could it be they’re headlining next year’s Download Festival? (Hint – doubtful) Or could it be that they will be announcing a UK tour for next year? (Hint – much more likely)
Find out more about the announcement here at DoM, as soon as we have news. Or otherwise, you could just check out the band’s site here.
Evile will thrash the UK
Evile recently thrashed Vancouver (we reported it), and now they’re set to thrash the UK (and again, we’re reporting it – aren’t we awesome?)
The dates are as followed:
9th February – Manchester University
10th February – Newcastle O2 Academy
13th February – Camden Underworld

Fozzy frontman an optimist
Frontman of Fozzy, and let’s be honest, better known as a guy that dresses up in spandex and “wrestles” other men in the WWF WWE, Chris Jericho was recently interviewed by Australia’s Loud magazine.
According to Jericho, Fozzy’s latest album, Chasing the Grail, has been a huge success worldwide. Wow really? I’d love to see the figures to back that statement up Chris…
Check out the interview here.
Suicide Silence are heavy
Suicide Silence, another one of those annoying Deathcore bands, claim their next album will be ‘heavy’ and ‘catchy as hell’.
That’s nice. In other news, Mark of Dose of Metal claims his next post will be the heaviest yet. Exciting stuff.

Sepultura rocks in Rio
I don’t really know much about Sepultura‘s current lineup except that Max left and the black guy replaced him. My knowledge stops there, so before you bitch about the photo not being of the current lineup, please take into consideration the fact that I have the attention span of a dying frog.
Anyway, apparently Sepultura and Angra are confirmed for Rock In Rio 2011. The festival will take place between 23 September and 2 October, 2011, so basically one full year to go.
Check the official site of the festival here. Check out an amazing (but totally unrelated to this story) URL shortener here.
