Chimaira know Charlie Sheen is a winner
Charlie Sheen is bad ass. Fact. He has an awesome life. You ask what’s so awesome about his life? Well, he has been in some quality movies, had has a popular TV show on CBS , does cocaine on a daily basis, lives with and bangs 2 hot blondes and gets found drunk in hotels with hookers. How can you not admire someone like this? Fantastic life!
Obviously there are people out there disgusted by him, but 5 guys from Cleveland have his back. Chimaira has uploaded a cover of The Troggs’ successful single “Wild Thing,” as a tribute to him.
When asked for comment, Charlie said ” Chimaria? Never heard of that drug.”

Weekly Dose of Metal: King of Asgard
Who doesn’t love songs about vikings? Vikings are awesome and that’s why there’s an entire genre dedicated to them: Viking Metal.
One of the biggest Viking Metal bands of its’ time was Mithotyn who split up after their third album in 1999 and Mithotyn guitarist Kalle Beckmann formed King of Asgard in 2008 with fellow former Mithotyn member Karsten Larsson sitting behind the drums.
Here’s a song off their debut album, which was released in 2010, called ‘Einhaerjar’.
Interview: Prophet (St. Madness)
What you see above are four guys from Arizona who don’t take themselves too seriously and sure as hell know how to rock. When you look at the picture and think “Juggalo!” then you’re damn wrong, if you think “Black Metal!” then you’re damn wrong aswell. These guys, St. Madness, play Metal the way it should be played: loud, heavy, rocking and they’re having lots of fun doing it.
Prophet, singer and lyricist of St. Madness, turned to us via our ‘Your Band’ campaign, in hopes for us to review their latest album ‘Saintanic’. The review of said album will be available next Monday, as part of the Spotlight category. But I also interviewed Prophet and you can read the interview after the jump.
Ba(da)ss clinic and Young cover
As we mentioned earlier, our good friend David Ellefson and Frank Bello did some bass clinics together. Now you can see some footage of it, including one of David performing…
Ain’t that sweet? Of course it is. Make the jump to see the videos.
In other (sort of) Megadeth related news, former guitarist Jeff Young’s band, Souls On 11, recorded a Thin Lizzy cover in memory of the late Gary Moore. The song is “Don’t Believe a Word” and you can listen to it after the jump, also.
Dragonforce finally get a singer
Remember 4 years ago when Dragonforce were popular? I mean, they weren’t selling millions or anything, but you couldn’t help hearing the name Dragonforce everywhere. A big part of their popularity was due to the hugely successful Guitar Hero 3 game (or maybe it was Guitar Hero 4, meh can’t be bothered looking that up).
They released their most recent studio album in 2008, Ultra Beatdown, and it seemed like no one cared about them anymore (except me). Things didn’t get any better in 2010, they lost their singer Zp Theart in because of “insurmountable differences.”
Flash forward to exactly a year later since Zp Theart left the band and now it looks like Dragonforce have found their front man, who happens to sounds pretty damn good. His name is Marc Hudson, he’s 23 years old, he’s from England and he has surprisingly good teeth.
If you’re interested seeing what he has to say since joining the band, a video of him recording a song and comments from the best guitar player in world because he plays so fast Herman Li, then click here.
