Reign in blood… Shoes?

Reign in Blood SB Dunk High

Is this an April Fool’s joke? After careful research (looking for a date on the original article), I can safely say: no. This is for real. You can soon be dunkin’ in Brooklyn Projects/Nike’s Reign In Blood SB Dunk High shoes. Just don’t expect to see Kerry King doing the same. Nom-nom-nom.

What do these shoes have in common with the Slayer album? Do they make you faster? Not really. Do they rain blood? Maybe, if you kick someone in the mouth with them. But mostly, they share the color scheme with the album’s artwork. Wooooooow. Make the jump to see a video.

Mike replaces Mike?

Since two days ago, rumor has it that Mike Mangini is the new drummer for Dream Theater, but the band hasn’t confirmed it yet. The man packs quite a punch and has played some pretty significant gigs (Steve Vai, Annihilator, to mention but a few), but… I can’t imagine who, besides die-hard “take DT albums to bed and make sweet sweet love to them” fans, is interested in this anymore.

I mean, come on, all this bitchy drama queen “we know the drummer but won’t tell” attitude has long since overstayed its welcome. Dream Theater, Charlie Sheen you’re not.

Make the jump for a video of Portnoy doing his thing.

Friday Top 10: Best metal songs of all time

Yes, that’s right! We’re doing it. This Friday’s Top 10 is all about metal… But not just any metal… The best metal songs of all time.

After weeks of deliberation, this is what we came up with and I think you’ll be pretty satisfied with the list.

So what are you waiting for? Make the jump… Now.

Young kids and instruments

There is so much fail in this video, I don’t even know where to begin.

First of all, don’t do monologues if you can’t form a coherent sentence. If you’re camera shy, just start the damn song. But don’t do it, unless you can actually play guitar.

Black Appetite For Puppets

You like my title? Fuck you.

Anyway, these three albums made Rolling Stone’s Top 10 albums of the 80s. Here’s the complete list:

01. U2 – The Joshua Tree
02. Guns N’ Roses – Appetite For Destruction
03. Michael Jackson – Thriller
04. Bruce Springsteen – Born In The U.S.A.
05. Prince – Purple Rain
06. AC/DC – Back In Black
07. The Smiths – The Queen Is Dead
08. The Clash – London Calling
09. The Cure – Disintegration
10. Metallica – Master Of Puppets

It’s not a bad top. I don’t agree with the order though, but I’m pretty sure it’s a matter of opinion… And opinions are like assholes, they itch and are dirty.
