Free songs for all!
Symfonia have released their debut album, ‘In Paradisum,‘ over on AOL. I know what you guys are thinking: Who the hell are Symfonia? Well, if you like power metal then this is a wet dream for you. This is a side project involving guys from Helloween, Sonata Arctica, Angra and Stratovarius. The album has been released in Europe for a couple weeks now and is getting released today in North America. Check out the album here.
Also over at AOL, Duff McKagan’s solo album, ‘The Taking,‘ is available for streaming. You don’t care, do you? Don’t worry, neither do I. The album has been released today. Click here if you want to listen.
Turn off your Job For A Cowboy or Black Dahlia Murder songs and check out a brand new Morbid Angel song from their upcoming album, ‘Illud Divinum Insanus,‘ which hits stores June 7th.
And finally, if you are down with generic metal-core coupled with lousy clean vocals and pathetic growls, check out the new The Plot In You album. It’s called ‘First Born’ and it was released today. Rise Records uploaded it and you can listen to it right here.
Four new music videos
I admit it. I suck at coming up with headlines but “Four new music videos” just perfectly explains what this article is all about.
Personally, I’m not a big fan of music videos. If I wanted to watch a film, I’d watch The Social Network but I don’t watch that film because it would depress me too much, considering this site didn’t make me a millionaire and an asshole yet. Well, maybe I don’t need help with the asshole part. My point is, if I want to listen to music, I do listen to music. I don’t need YouTube for that, unless I want to hear my favorite music in shit quality.
But anyhow, I’m pretty sure there are a lot of people who like music videos, and I’ve already posted about a music video earlier today, so fuck it.
After the jump, you can watch new music videos by Yggdrasil, who I included in my latest Spotlight article yesterday, Impious, the Canadian 3 Inches Of Blood and Detonation. Have fun!
Pain fucking rocks
Everyone who’s into Death Metal and/or Melodic Death Metal, knows Peter Tägtgren of Hypocrisy but not many, admittedly me included, know much about his side-project Pain. Or maybe many do know a lot about them but not just me. Who knows?
Anyhow, you can watch the video for ‘Dirty Woman,’ off of Pain’s new album ‘You Only Live Twice,’ above and I can only repeat the headline: it fucking rocks. The album will be released on June 21.
Jon Bon Jovi was robbed
Of talent, the day he was born, but what’s worse (for him) is that he was also robbed of $100.000 — in jewelry. Yes, this guy has $100.000 worth of jewelry in his home, so he must have cheated treated his wife good, or he simply loves to play in gold and silver as much as he loves to play in his cash.
The burglar was eventually caught (and his bail was set at symbolic… $100.000), and Jovi’s probably making a new hit single called “It’s my bling.”
Interview: Kyle Thomas (Exhorder)
It has been a difficult time for Exhorder lately. Bassist Frankie Sparcello (pictured above on the left) died last month.
I originally talked to Kyle Thomas, Exhorder’s singer, just a little over a week before Frankie died, for an interview. The interview was then, understandably, put on hold for a while. Then I completely rewrote the questions for the interview to talk about the recent events, their third studio album and how it feels to be back with Exhorder.
Make the jump for my interview with Exhorder’s Kyle Thomas.
