Anselmo still talks about Pantera

Phil Anselmo talks a lot about Pantera and especially Dimebag lately. I don’t think it has anything to do with the re-release of Cowboys from Hell. Naaaaah, not at all.

Anyhow, Anselmo talked some crap about Megadeth in an interview with Mog Music Network but the most interesting part of the interview was this:

If Dimebag Darrell was alive today, I would guarantee with all my heart that we would have already been back together.

Read the entire interview here.

When asked for comment, Dimebag Darrell wasn’t available.

Anselmo kisses dead buddy's ass

In a recent interview Phil Anselmo (once again) praised Dimebag Darrell‘s guitar playing. He said “As far as heavy metal guitarists, rock and roll guitarists [go], there’s a lot of really good players out there, but honestly…” […] “I don’t think there has been a better guitar player than him before him nor after.”

Listen to the whole interview (if you can understand Anselmo‘s babbling) here.

Phil Anselmo: Make love, not war

Philip Anselmo of Pantera, Down, Superjoint Ritual, Arson Anthem, Christ Inversion, Southern Isolation and Viking Crown (just to name a few) recently sat down for an interview.

It got all emotional and borderline homoerotic when he was asked about his relationship to the estranged Pantera bandmate, Vinnie.

I think about Vinnie Paul every day.”

I smell a new Superjoint Ritual song out of this:

The fans must rise, salute the queer
Another dreary, people fearing
Dick the Vinnie, screw the city
Forget you were, forget you were

Read the full interview here.

When asked if he’s a chubby chaser, Phil said “Respect, WALK”
