Living in the limelight
Geddy Lee, who happens to be lead vocalist and bass player for Canada’s best rock band Rush, recently sat down with Brazil’s TV UOL for an in-depth interview, which included information regarding their upcoming new album.

Adler loves dogs more than Axl
The title above is the perfect example of how comments from artists can be taken out of context, because Adler actually seems to love Axl. He loves all of his former bandmates actually. I mean, you shouldn’t know that, it’s not like this is the millionth time the drummer has kissed their ass and begged for a reunion.
Basically this is yet another story about how much original Guns N’ Roses drummer, Steven Adler, really really wants a GNR reunion. He even prays to the invisible man in the sky for Axl Rose to consider it, although I can’t see that doing much help. I would think money would be more up Axl’s street, rather than prayers…
Adler admits there’s no one that he loves more than the GNR guys. That is except his grandmother and his dogs. Interview exerpts after the jump.
Whole Lotta Profit
Almost 2 million people paid good money to see a middle aged man playing guitar in his shorts this year. We’re talking, of course, of metal legends and riff recyclers AC/DC, who sold almost 2,000,000 tickets since January 1st, 2010.
That’s pretty impressive, considering Metallica sold ‘only’ around 540,000.
But if you want to be disgusted, check out the full list here and see how awful taste in music was this year. Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Pink… Yeah, they all sold more tickets than Metallica. Not that Metallica is the be all, end all of great taste, but just to put things in perspective. AC/DC were the top earners, but the Top 20 is almost entirely populated by awful acts.
Mark Stone returns
Who, you ask? Mark Stone, the guy who sounds like he’s the creator of South Park, but was in fact Queensrÿche’s guitarist, has returned with a new band. Excited? Yeah, me neither.
Comprised of Stephen Duffy on lead vocals/guitars, Mike Stone on vocals/guitars, Billy Close on bass, Bernie Godwin on lead guitar, and Frankie Anthony on drums, The Stick People recently signed with EFM/Bungalo, which issued “Think About That.”
A bunch of names thrown around that I’ve never heard of. Reminds me of when I asked my mom who my dad was, and she started listing all the possible candidates. Anyway, maybe you care more than I do. In which case, you can check out their MySpace page.

Robert Zombie returns
Bad news if you live in the UK, but good news if you don’t, Rob Zombie has announced a UK tour for next year.
If you’ve been stuck in a coma for the past 12 years, and have just woken up, you may actually care. Then again, if you have a good set of ears and, you know, taste, you probably won’t.
Mr Zombie says the following:
“I am thrilled to be finally heading back to the UK. I have been away far too long, but trust me it will be worth the wait. The band is in top form and completely ready to destroy.”
Expect a lot of stage show, and little music. Dates after the jump. There’s a date near my town, but unfortunately I’m washing my hair that day.
