Sepultura jumping on the bandwagon

Metallica, Machine Head, Judas Priest – just an example of bands that have played classic albums in its entirety. Sepultura have decided to join the trend and perform their best album, “Arise“, from start to finish on December 11/2010 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

I’m actually not one of the whiners that bitches Sepultura need to stop making albums unless Max is back in the band( not interested for Roots Part 2, no thank you),  but I think it would make sense to do this type of show with the Cavalera’s.  Agree?

Groupies!

Groupies. What little boys dream of after they see a guitar in an instrument shop window. VH1 are airing a documentary on groupies this month, based on the book by Pamela Des Barres (who?), “Let’s Spend The Night Together: Confessions Of Rock’s Greatest Groupies.” We expect lots of juicy details and hope they’ll reveal how come most (glam) metal bands from the 80’s picked up tons of women, yet looked like women themselves? We also hoped it would be full of hot chicks, but these are old groupies. Oh well… Trailer after the jump.

And I mean really bored? Bored-out-of-your-motherfucking-mind bored? Did you like “The Social Network?” Are you perhaps a fan of Trent Reznor? Wish you could watch a 45 minute video of him and Atticus Ross discussing their horrible soundtrack for the movie?

As if two wasn't enough…

The band named after a lame move from Mortal Kombat (actually I may have made that up), Five Finger Death Punch have announced that they have starting planning their third album. Want to know what it’s going to sound like? Well, just like their first and second album, and most likely what all their albums are going to sound like. But don’t take my word for it, read what guitarist, Zoltan Bathory says below.

“The thing is, we found our sound, so to speak. It’s still going to evolve, but not drastically. If you put in Five Finger Death Punch’s first, second, or third record, you’ll still recognize that it is Five Finger Death Punch. You kind of stick to the sound that you have. Like any band that I was into, from Pantera to Metallica to Iron Maiden, you hear the first couple of riffs and you know it’s them. I think that identity is very important and it’s crazy to lose.”

Review: Hemoptysis – Misanthropic Slaughter

Earlier today (yesterday if you’re in another timezone), Masaki Murashita, singer and guitarist of Hemoptysis contacted us to write about their upcoming album ‘Misanthropic Slaughter’.

To be honest with you, I wasn’t in the mood to listen to some grainy demo but man, was I surprised when I listened to said album. Check out my review after the jump.
