Drowning Pool like videos
So much, that in fact, they will be shooting a video for each of the remaining songs on their last album. Will they be changing the singer for each video, just to spice things up? We’ll see. You can even go to their website and vote for your favorite song, and the one with most votes will get a video first. I wanted to go and vote, but unfortunately, I know only one Drowning Pool song, and hint, it’s not from their last album.
My prediction – a bunch of bad videos. Well, at least one was funny. Watch it after the jump.
Phil is also technological
Well, well, well… I just posted about one Pantera member getting all tech-geeky and shit with an iPhone app. Not to be outdone, Phil “Million Projects Man” Anselmo also uses some computer slang in a recent interview:
“UG: What about all the posers out there?
Phil: I’ll tell you the truth: you are correct. There are a lot of cut-and-paste motherfuckin’ thrash metal acts today. That is harsh but I’ll say it: there’s a lot of Exodus worship. Fine. There’s a lot of records where I can hear the first, what, 30 seconds of a song and know pretty much what I’m getting thereafter.“
Read full interview here.
Smooth, Phil, real smooth. You could be a character on The Big Bang Theory.
iHELLYEAH
Even though I have serious doubts that any member of Hellyeah can use a smartphone, they have released a free iPhone app. Isn’t that sweet?
If you have both an iPhone and horrible taste in music, make sure you get it here.
I thought Vinnie had gone creative and created an app that displays the nearest Jack Daniel’s shop or something… I was wrong, all it has is some BUY buttons for their songs and a bunch of other crap.
Make the jump for some screenshots I stole, it doesn’t really look promising but hey, what do I know? All I’m saying is, are Hellyeah fans actually likely to own an iPhone? I mean, shouldn’t they be doing stuff with Nascar or pickup trucks? Just saying, cater to your target audience.
Crowbar debut new track
Crowbar, my favorite weapon from Half-Life, and apparently a band, have made a new song available for streaming, from their upcoming release Sever The Wicked Hand. The very sludgy/grungy and appropriately named “Let Me Mourn” can be found here. Enjoy it.
Get your speedos ready, England!
The underwear models of metal, Manowar, have announced a show in Birmingham, England.
It will happen on the 27th of March next year at the O2 Academy, so wash your ‘Conan The Barbarian’ outfit and get ready!
It’s unknown, as of right now, whether they will add more dates and make an U.K. tour out of it. It is also unknown how four grown men can wear those outfits in public.
