Interview: David Ellefson (Megadeth)
David came back in Megadeth a year ago, and what has he been doing since? Umm, I don’t know, just KICKING MAJOR ASS around the globe and writing a new Megadeth album.
But what can fans expect from the new album, what does he think of ‘Endgame‘ and did he really see me in the crowd at the Sofia gig? Well, only one way to find out.
Ladies and metalheads… My interview with David Ellefson, after the jump!
Dose of Crowbar
Get it, a crowbar’s made of metal. Lame puns aside, residents of Black Mesa have made their entire new album, Sever The Wicked Hand, available for stream today. And it’s coming out… tomorrow. In the US at least, but the rest of the world can use the stream to judge the album before they spend money on it. Listen to it here.
Also, be sure to check out this week’s Headbanger’s Ball (that thing is still on? I thought MTV stopped playing anything music related?) because Kirk Windstein will be hosting it and playing you his favorite music videos. Hint: 4/8 will be Crowbar’s.
Brad Delson = God
Everybody knows Brad Delson is a guitar God. But we also told you he’s a multi-instrumentalist genius a while ago, which is all true. Linkin Park‘s music being mostly made with Mike Shinoda‘s Macbook, there’s little to do for this amazing guitar God on stage but to just play around with other instruments.
Please, just watch the video below… It’s a performance from SNL, God knows what song cause who cares, right? But check out Brad Delson. HE IS THE WHOLE SHOW!
Metal wake-up service
Good morning. It’s 8 in the morning, where I’m at. I don’t know where you’re at, how could I but it must be morning somewhere else aswell. And if it’s not morning, where you’re at, at the moment, maybe it’s in the middle of the night and when you wake up, you find this shit attempt of an article and wonder just what the fuck that idiot wrote there.
So anyhow, I decided not to go to sleep a couple of hours ago because I don’t have to work until Wednesday so here I am, waiting for the supermarket next door to open, so I can buy a couple of cans of Red Bull. Or any other energy drink for that matter. And is there a better way to keep yourself awake than listening to some of the heaviest shit you got in your iTunes playlist? No. So I wondered, just what is the heaviest shit I got in my playlist?
Make the jump for the heaviest Metal I got to offer, all in alphabetical order or, as I’d like to call it, the Monday Morning Metal list.
R.I.P. Gary Moore (1952-2011)
We’re barely into 2011 and we already lost another great musician.
Guitarist Gary Moore passed away today, in his hotel room in Spain. He was 58. More details here.
R.I.P. Gary Moore
Make the jump to see him perform his hit song, “Still Got The Blues.” An amazing guitar performance, if you ask me.
