Anthrax singer is “killing it”

Anthrax vocalist Neil Turbin John Bush Dan Nelson Santa Claus Joey Belladonna is currently in the studio “killing it” according to some recent ‘tweets’ from the man. What, exactly he is “killing” is yet to be confirmed, but I’m going to assume it’s not any of his fellow band-members for making him re-record songs that were written with Dan Nelson on vox.

Anthrax‘s forthcoming album is expected to hit stores before the end of the year and is also expected to kick major ass. Read more general shitaroo over here.

Nu Haunted track posted

Are you ready to hear something you haven’t heard before? Or see something you haven’t seen before? Then get ready to hear Unseen, the title track from The Haunted‘s forthcoming album.

Unfortunately it sounds like Nu Metal trash to me, just without the white rapper that thinks he’s black. But they can’t please everyone though right? Listen to it yourself and you can form your own opinion.

You can listen to the track over at Facebook.

Ginger and Manson break up

Former Marilyn Manson members

Ginger Fish leaves Marilyn Manson, therefore completing the picture above with ex-band members only. Good for me and my obsessive-compulsive disorder, bad for the fans. No, but really, if there’s one person to be unhappy about this, it’s Manson himself. Not that Ginger Fish (I won’t even bother with the name) is a great drummer, it’s that Manson tends to pull of a Trent Reznor and act like he’s a one man band way too often, without realizing he really needs those other band members (and, as a side effect, he makes listenable music).

So, the latest member to go is Ginger. Make the jump to read his official announcement and my unofficial speculation.

I am still affected by Ozzy’s past LSD usage

Ozzy Osbourne

I thought this was news last week, but I keep seeing this headline pop up. I didn’t want to post it the first time around, but at least I got a good joke out of it this time… And we’ve had no Ozzy news in two weeks, and you know he’s like the running gag of metal.

Therefore, I present you: Ozzy’s acid trip. Mission accomplished. Oh yeah, and make the jump to find out why you should never take drugs.

Weekly Dose of Metal: Tenet

Death Thrash from Canada. Are you interested? Former members of Strapping Young Lad and Exodus. Interested now? Gene fucking Hoglan. Ah, now I got your attention.

Tenet was started as a side project of Strapping Young Lad’s guitarist Jed Simon, later to be joined by Glen Alvelais of Forbidden Evil, Byron Stroud of Strapping Young Lad and Fear Factory, Gene Hoglan of every band on earth and the latest addition, former Testament and Exodus vocalist Steve Souza.

The band started in 2002, recorded a demo in 2003 and released their first album ‘Sovereign’ in 2009. This next song, ‘Being and Nothingness,’ comes off that album.
