Chimaira’s big announcement [new lineup revealed]
Dose of Metal can see into the future, that’s why we’re bringing you the big Chimaira announcement Mark hinted yesterday, before it even happened. Of course, I’m just kidding, but being the no-lifer has its benefits — I’ll be “live blogging” the stream and the most interesting details, and updating this post. Join me if you’re too lazy to watch it yourself – it should start at 9 pm EST.
To clarify one thing: three members have left Chimaira, not everyone except Mark, but I figure he’ll be streaming tonight, that’s why the blurry faces. Now, make the jump and hit the refresh button.
Pointless Ozzy video
OzTV is a clever contraction of Ozzy and TV, if you didn’t realize that, in which case you’re probably too stupid to know how to read to begin with, so I can say anything I want about your mother right now, like how she likes diseased cocks and shit.
Anyway, “the new OzTV episode is here!” is what I read and I looked at it and I couldn’t figure out just what the fuck it is about. It looks like a trailer for something. Ozzy is barely on screen, 5 seconds tops. What is this? Is this a subtle message or something?
Help a pimp out. Make the jump, see the video, explain to me what it’s supposed to mean.
Phil Anselmo remembers Peter Steele
In January, Revolver magazine published a ‘Fallen Heroes’ issue about legendary musicians that died and it included a bit of Phil Anselmo, of Pantera fame, remembering Type O Negative’s Peter Steele, who died a year ago today.
At the time, Revolver didn’t print Phil’s entire text though but they decided to publish it online today. You can read that after the jump, or here. Personally, I really liked what he had to say.
Ewww new Korn…
Korn are apparently streaming a new song, of some upcoming EP or some crap but let me tell you right now (RIGHT NOW!), I don’t give a crap and I did not and will not listen to it. I’m posting about it because some of you (shame on you) might be interested in it.
I honestly just want these guys to go away. It even pains me to see krap like this posted on a serious (we mean business, boooi!) metal website but I’ll just have to go through that for you guys. I’m taking this one for the team.
Click this and your ears will start bleeding. I’ve warned you.
Sepultura play new song live
Most of my articles about Sepultura are about Max Cavalera and the whole reunion debacle but not today. I somehow forgot that these guys are still playing music. We even reported that Sep already finished recording a new album but somehow that went past me.
So, Sepultura are indeed playing new music and that was the case at a recent show, when they were supporting Ozzy Osbourne. You know, that old guy nobody can understand, who invented the guitar or something…
Anywho, want to listen to the song? Well, yay for crappy cellphone footage and Youtube. Make the jump to listen to this brand new song, called ‘Seethe.’
